Band Update September 2009.
The band is thrilled to announce that the members of the Henderson Caledonia Pipe Band decided at their AGM, held on the 14th of September, to merge into our organization. The Henderson Caledonia Pipe Band has been very successful since its inception in 2007. Winning a number of prizes up and down the country in Grade 4. Many of their players have played at much higher levels in the pipe band world. This will mean a structure change to the GMFRS Pipe Band.
In 2010 we will be field 2 competition pipe bands. Grade 3A and Grade 4B. We have not decided the Leadership of the new band however decisions will be made at the bands forthcoming AGM.
The band is still actively recruiting new members and would now be interested in hearing from anybody wishing to be part of the Grade 4b band.
